According to Salary.com Salary Wizard ® Basic Report, Date as of October 2006 – The average expected yearly salary for a typical Lean Sigma Black Belt is $88,958 US (£59,344). (And remember, that was three years ago! This will be at least 10% higher in 2009)

Top executives average range exceeds $150,00 US and peaks at $270,000 in areas like Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

When bonuses are averaged in, the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt yearly salary increases to $97,671 (£65,156).

However, lucrative earning potential exists in the contract market:

  • Interim Process/Lean/Six Sigma Consultants – UK, Germany, France & Netherlands:  £400 – £700/day + expenses
  • Change Managers / Lean Sigma Consultants – UK wide and Asia Associate roles: £400+ per day dependent on experience and position, + bonus + full expenses
